About the Founder
-Janessa Rivera
Janessa Rivera is a bilingual (English/Spanish) executive leader, self-published author, ordained minister, coach/mentor, consultant, and speaker with more than 15 years of experience driving transformational change across government, nonprofit, and social impact sectors.
Her life and work reflect the belief that ministry extends beyond the pulpit—it lives in how we serve, empower, and uplift others. As the founder of ElevatHER Strategies, Janessa empowers and equips women in leadership to lead with integrity, clarity, confidence, and courage while building cultural consciousness of empowerment and resilience on stages, in boardrooms, and through firms.
A survivor, single mother, and advocate for purpose-driven leadership, Janessa channels her personal journey of overcoming adversity into her professional mission: helping others transform problems/barriers into purpose and vision into impact. Through coaching, consulting, and speaking, she continues to inspire change that is both personal and systemic—bridging leadership, healing, and empowerment in motion.
My Story:
Life-as-Ministry
Ordained by circumstance, but called by purpose, I see ministry not as preaching but as serving. I may not minister from a pulpit; I don’t lead a congregation. I minister every day through my life and my work and lead people into healing, clarity, and empowerment.
My journey as a survivor, leader, and single mother has taught me that true ministry is not confined to four church walls — it’s found in how we heal, empower, and lift others as we walk alongside them.
My ministry is my life: teaching resilience and sharing hard-earned lessons. My ministry is expressed through my coaching, consulting, and writing. I serve by helping women, leaders, and communities transform pain into purpose, fear into courage, and vision into action. Everything I do — from coaching executives to writing my book — is an act of service rooted in resilience, empowerment, and faith.
